When it comes to your health, you and your family deserve the very best.

First Primary Care provides convenient, affordable, concierge-style healthcare for the whole family…

This is the way healthcare should be.

Imagine this: Your daughter gets sent home from school with pink eye. Do you:

A

Call out of work and try to get in with your local pediatrician sometime that week

B

Take your chances with urgent care, wait around with a bunch of sick people, and hope you can still call in to your 11am meeting, or

C

Text your doctor some close-ups of the eye, and within 45 minutes have a filled prescription, a resting kiddo, some Starbucks, and plenty of time to hop on the conference line?

If you answered C. – you already know the power of Direct Primary Care.

But if you’ve never had the pleasure of texting your doctor and avoiding the waiting room all together… You’ll want to keep reading.

What First Primary Care offers to members isn’t exactly new. Direct Primary Care is the way healthcare used to be, back when doctors knew their patients personally – not just by the chart on the door. It’s the way our grandparents worked with their doctors: directly and without a middleman (the insurance companies) dictating care, attention, or cost.

The main difference?

Today’s direct primary care clinics operate on a low-cost monthly membership, allowing patients to make the right decisions for their health… Without worrying about the cost. And of course, today’s direct primary care practices have all the convenience and benefits modern technology and medicine have to offer. (Like virtual appointments. Online booking. Advanced lab work. And more.)

So whether you’re trying to lower your cholesterol, lose those last 10 pounds, battling the flu, or dealing with a sick kiddo….

The team at First Primary Care is committed to helping our members have convenient, unrestricted access to a physician they know and trust at an affordable, predictable cost every day of the year.

In fact, we guarantee it.

How Does First Primary Care Compare?

At First Primary Care, your monthly membership covers a wide-range of medical services with no co-pay or additional fees. You can visit your doctor with confidence knowing that your healthcare needs are managed by a board-certified physician who is committed to providing outstanding patient care, without insurance fees and inflated lab costs. We pass on our wholesale pricing to our customers so that you can stop worrying about your medical bills and focus on living an active, healthy life.

How Membership with First Primary Care Works

As a members only direct primary care practice, First Primary Care gives members better control of their health, with access to convenient, affordable, and engaged healthcare that covers 80-90% of their routine care for just a small monthly membership fee.
Z

Unlimited Access to a Doctor You Trust

First Primary Care knows that the first step to health is access. That’s why we offer unlimited access to your physician – instead of sending you to a stranger at Urgent Care. Whether it’s a kiddo running a fever or a question about prescriptions, when you have a question, your doctor is here for you and your family.

  • After hours availability via secure communication app – Spruce Health.
  • Same day phone or video consults
  • In-office appointments with no wait times

Being a member with First Primary Care means always having convenient access to the physician you trust. With unlimited consultations as a benefit of membership, and so many ways to access them, there’s never a reason to put your health on the back burner.

Z

Your Doctor’s Full Attention

While you might think having your doctor’s full attention is a given, think back to your last doctor’s appointment:
The average appointment time is just 11 minutes before they have to dash down the hall to the next patient. Did you feel like you had their full focus?

If you’ve been using an average practice, probably not.

At First Primary Care, there are no insurance-mandated patient minimums or reams of claims paperwork sending your doctor running. There’s no middle man calling the shots.

It’s just you, your doctor, and their undivided attention for the duration of your appointment (and beyond).

Z

Prevention and Outcome-focused Care

You may have noticed: Most of modern healthcare is focused on reacting to health problems – instead of preventing them. At First Primary Care, we do things a little differently. We operate fully with the philosophy that  “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

It’s one of the things that makes a practice like ours so special.

Our patient onboarding to identify risk factors for patients, catch undiagnosed health issues, take a status report on any health concerns you might already be dealing with, so we can forge a plan for helping you reach your best health (and keeping you there).

And according to our members, it’s working: in a recent survey 79% reported that their health had improved as a result of their membership with First Primary Care.

Z

Technology (and Convenience) at Your Service

Walk into most doctor’s offices, and the technology seems very one-sided. The doctor’s have iPads with electronic charts connected directly to their diagnostic equipment… But none of that translates to the patient.

You still have to request your medical records the old fashioned way, go through the receptionist when you need to connect with your doctor, and you still have to drive across town and sit in the waiting room for your appointment.

At First Primary Care we’re using technology to break down the barriers between patients and their health.

  • If you need your doctor, you just send them a text in our secure messaging app – Spruce Health
  • Need a consult in a hurry? You can meet with your doctor via video chat the same day
  • Can’t remember what your doctor told you about your cholesterol? Just log into our online portal for all of your appointment notes, recommendations, and records

Across the board, we’re using technology to make healthcare more accessible – and to put you in control of your health.

Z

Personalized Care & a Partner You Can Rely On

We know that the best healthcare comes from a doctor who knows you. But how many people really know their doctors anymore?

Our patient onboarding process is designed to make sure your First Primary Care doctor knows you from day one. From health risks and current concerns to your personal care preferences, we’re here to make your healthcare personal. The way it should be.

  • If you’d like to try acupuncture? We support you.
  • Want to try an herbal remedy? We’ll help you research the best protocol.
  • Interested in solving a concern through nutrition first? We’ll help you find a nutritionist you love.

At First Primary Care, we’re here to partner in your whole health, within our walls and beyond, to tailor a plan that fits your health.

Z

Affordable, Transparent Pricing on Over 80% of Out-of-pocket Expenses

Did you know? Over 80% of an individual’s healthcare needs are for routine and/or preventative care. Another fact: even the “in-network, member rate” through your health insurance is marked up a whopping 300-500%.

With First Primary Care, you not only get exceptional care – you have access exceptional savings on all of your care.

  • Unlimited consultations and access to your First Primary Care physician
  • Deeply discounted pricing prescriptions (and a doctor who will always look for ways you can save)

If First Primary Care Sounds Too Good to Be True,
You Should Hear What Our Members Think…

As a nurse of 25 years, I am very picky about my Doctor. I will not see just anyone, and until I moved from Ohio, I had always known my Doctor personally or was able to get a recommendation from a colleague when I needed to see a specialist.

Coming from the traditional insurance model, the concept of direct primary care was very foreign to me – I had nothing to compare it to.

But after being a member of First Primary Care, I will never go back to traditional medicine. First Primary Care has a very personal approach, and I feel like you have taken the time to get to know me and my specific needs and issues.  I like that you do the research when I need specialized care and get me not only the best price but also quality care.

Even with my background, I have never had a Doctor’s office give the time and care that you have.

I feel cared for and that I am not just a file:

When my blood and iron levels were low, you called to check on me frequently, and it is so refreshing to know that you care how I’m doing.

When I needed more protein, you went out and bought three vegan protein shakes and taste tested them so you could recommend the best one.

You’re always willing to research things that only pertain to me and my case (like when I want to try an herbal remedy!).

And I love that I don’t have to make a trip into the office for every little thing. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thank you for such awesome care of me and my family.

Rachel Gaugler

My quality of medical care has increased exponentially. The doctors and staff are extremely competent and actually know me, my history and how to handle my chronic issues better than doctors I’ve had for years.

I think because of the time saving factor on both ends, the doctors are able to research issues, study my history and regularly monitor my ongoing issues and therefore they have a better overall knowledge of my health than any other “traditional” health care provider in the past.

I love the time saving factor of being able to reach my doctor by phone or text. When I was home ill with the flu I didn’t have to get dressed, drive to an office, and sit in a waiting room. Dr. Goyal called me quickly after notifying him I was ill through the Hale app., did an on-the-phone-analysis of my symptoms, and called me in a prescription. That type of care is invaluable!

I appreciate that the doctor calls me personally. I also appreciate that the doctors truly listen. They respect my knowledge of my body and my knowledge of my history and experiences with different medications. They truly listen to my past experiences and help to determine what is the best next step for me. Any chance I get I’m telling people about my new health care. Who wouldn’t want direct access to their doctor and to save money, and to know you are getting the best care you have ever received!

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and high blood pressure. I also suffer with anxiety and depression. I cannot express how Peter and his team took care of me. The one word that comes to mind is CARING.

You would not believe the communication that went back and forth. It seemed “too good to be true”.  I experimented with different medication and Peter was in communication with me EVERY step of the way.

I cannot thank you enough for making a very scary diagnosis less scary. I feel blessed to have this team of medical professionals helping me. I feel better than I have in a year, and I owe it to you for taking the time to get to know me. Never has a doctor spent more than 20 min. with me. My experience with Peter and his team is the opposite. They take TIME getting to know me and follow up to make sure a healthy lifestyle is ahead!

My experience has been 5 stars. I’m not scared to tackle health problems because I’m not alone. They are on MY TEAM and for that…I am forever thankful.

I researched all of my options with regards to health coverage & service. I decided to join Dr. Goyal’s practice as a patient & I know I made the right decision. I visited Geetu & Peter for a check up & they were absolutely fantastic. Insurance companies have been ripping us off for years & it’s about time there’s a change. I’ll soon have my employees signed up as well.

I’m so happy to be a patient of Dr. Goyal’s team. They make me feel valued and welcome and it’s a completely different experience from standard insurance based medical care. I love that they’re so accessible to me. I’m just having to adjust my thinking since so many of the things I used to pay for out of pocket are included in my plan with them – what a welcome change!

They provided consistent and high quality care from day one. The doctors listen to your concerns, ask questions, and make sure the underlying reasons for your concerns or symptoms are diagnosed and treated. They really care about the health and well-being of their patients – even after the appointment is over. They are readily available and make getting well and staying healthy more convenient than ever. Would highly recommend!

I just had a need for Dr. Goyal. It was 8 pm on Monday night. I was having chest pain. I called Dr. Goyal’s cell phone, he immediately became concerned. Telling me to call an ambulance and get to the hospital. Dr.Goyal continued to call for updates and provided valuable counciling until 4am. It’s a valuable and important choice for me and my family.

What an awesome option for basic care. Everyone is attentive, caring and genuinely concerned about your health not only physically but as a whole human. This kind of personal care is so hard to find. I’m blessed to have found such a wonderful team of medical care staff.

When I came to First Primary Care, I was having significant back pain and needed to lose about 18 pounds. Pete showed me some stretches to help my back, and treated the pain with an injection and a prescription, that had me feeling better quickly. That just left the weight loss. I’d tried and gotten discouraged before, but decided to give it another go.

Following my doctor’s advice to start increasing my activity level by walking, I lost 10 pounds over 3 months, and relieved my stress and anxiety while I was at it.  Also my lab work came back with remarkable results. I just needed someone to give me some advice to get me going in the right direction and Pete did that for me. I’m so very grateful for this.

I love having a doctor who is so thorough at getting to the root of my health problem, treating it, and actually getting results. He is there for me until I’m better, either by HALE app, phone or office visit.

I have recommended First Primary Care to other colleagues because they really solves what ails you. The staff is friendly, getting my lab work done without going through insurance saves everyone money, and I get very helpful, quick responses to my concerns and questions. Thank you FPC!

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s Not Included in My Membership?
Membership to First Primary Care does not cover costs of lab work, imaging, medication, and off-site services (such as emergency room visits, hospital stays, or specialist visits)… But we’ll always do our best to get you the best care at the best price – whether it’s with us or not.
Is There a Contract at Joining?
There’s no long-term contract.

We are here to serve you, and if you have a complaint we cannot work through together, you are free to terminate your membership.

What Is an Electronic Visit, and What Does ‘Unlimited Access to my Doctor’ Mean?
Electronic visits are available to our members, and are conducted via secure communication app – Spruce Health. They are typically a text message, a phone call, or a video chat. We can help you set up the Spruce Health app during enrollment.

You will have a scheduled time, and will have the doctor’s full attention just as you would in the office.

We also encourage communication via text message, email, and other channels.

Do You Make House Calls?
Yes and no.

While traditional house calls are not included at this time, most issues can be managed electronically or by phone appointment with your doctor. Each patient will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Can I Really Contract My Doctor After Hours?
Yes! You may call the doctor directly with urgent problems, and can always leave a message with our excellent office staff for changes to appointments or questions to be answered during the next day’s office hours.
What If I Need Medical Attention While I’m Away From Home?
We consult our patients electronically, so no matter where you are, you’re never more than a text message or phone call away from your physician at First Primary Care. We can also help you locate a pharmacy, urgent care, or hospital depending on your needs at the time.
What If I’m Hospitalized?
In the event that you’re hospitalized, we’ll keep in touch with you electronically to assist in your care, and keep your health charter updated.

While we do not directly assume care for patients while in the hospital, we will definitely assist in transitioning care out of the hospital, and arrange to see you for follow-up as soon as needed after your discharge.

What if I Need a Specialist?
In the event that you need a specialist, your First Primary Care physician will help coordinate your care, negotiate direct-access pricing for you, and arrange your first consultation via video call, to ensure that you get the very best in care.
Do I Still Need Insurance?
Federal law mandates that everyone have health insurance.

First Primary Care is not an insurance business, and therefore membership with us does not constitute as fulfilling this mandate.

Combining a First Primary Care direct primary care membership with your health insurance plan allows you to use your insurance the way it was meant to be used: for the catastrophic and unexpected major medical conditions.

By doing so, our members significantly reduce their out-of-pocket expenses on 80-90% of their healthcare.

If I Have Medicare, Can I Join as a Patient?
Yes. Keep in mind that your monthly membership fee cannot be submitted to Medicare for reimbursement.

In addition, you must sign a waiver every two years to state that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for your membership fee. You may still use Medicare and Medicare supplements to pay for outside pharmacy, lab, radiology, and specialist costs.

How Difficult Is It to Get an Appointment?
Not at all: just send a text, call, or otherwise let us know they’d like to make an appointment.

In most cases they can schedule it for the same day, or early the next day for an office visit.

In nearly all cases they can schedule an electronic visit for the same day.

What if My Doctor Goes on Vacation?
Your doctor will notify you in advance, and take care of anything pressing before leaving for vacation. Other clinic staff will be at your service, and provide the same quality services if the need arises.
How Long is a Typical Office Visit?
The enrollment and initial visit typically require two 60-minutes visits.

Future visits depend on your needs, but we set aside 15-minutes for electronic visits and 30-minutes for a follow-up visit as a default.

More time can be requested when scheduling your appointment. Our goal is to have zero wait times, and provide full service to every one of our members.

What Medical Conditions Do You Care For?
We treat a wide variety of acute health problems, manage and improve chronic health problems, and emphasize active prevention and sustainable health practices through education and open communication.

If we cannot provide a particular service, we will help you find the best person who can.

Feel free to contact us in email to ask about a specific ailment or disease!

Do You See Patients of All Ages?
Currently, we care for adults and their dependents (over age 6), but we will always provide medical guidance and help coordinate care, regardless of your loved ones’ age!
I Have Family Visiting. Can First Primary Care Help Them If a Need Arises?
Our services are membership-based, due to their comprehensive nature and scope. While we have no binding contracts, we strive hard to help our members see the value of building a long-term trust-based relationship with us.

With this in mind, we will evaluate each case on an individual basis, since the well-being of the loved ones of our members are also important to us.
